Man, this girl can sing! Amazing...

This guy's not bad either, but you can tell he slowed it down though to drag out his pitches.

And finally... Burn. Man, I wish I could sing haha.

You know how girls are self conscious when it comes to when they have to take a #2? Like if they have to go they don’t want anyone to know about it. Well, have you ever wondered if guys who are gay think the same way? Okay, probably not, but that’s what I was wondering today when I stopped by the restroom today and one of my coworkers walked in the stall. I was thinking hmm… I wonder if he’s embarrassed or not. I mean imagine if you were in a unisex bathroom like they have in NY (or so I’ve heard from Peter I think) and you go into the stall to take a #2, while the girl/guy you have a crush on knows you’re in there. That would be pretty embarrassing I think. Haha…

So yesterday was Mel’s going away get together. We ate at Ho Soon Yi and Donny delighted us with his uncanny Korean speaking skills. For example, “Soon chu-mah-reh shee-gahn issuh-yo oh-nool chee-goom chuhn-hwah-bun-ho muh-gul-gah”… means “Excuse me miss. Would you like some bulgogi?”

After we had dinner a bunch of the college guys said they were gonna shoot some hoops. So I was like what the heck… even though it’s already past 9pm on a week day I’ll live like a college student just for once. I went with Carlos back to my place to go pick up a change of clothes and after waiting several minutes for Jon I finally decided to give him a call to see what was taking him so long. After a very difficult to hear conversation on the phone I found out that Jon was stuck on the left shoulder of I-5. Turns out he ran out of gas on his motorcycle… what a crazy foo. So Carlos and I hopped in the car and filled up a gallons worth of gas using an empty milk carton. Well, we eventually got onto I-5 and sure enough there was Jon stranded on the left shoulder. We pulled over in the little space there was, filled up his tank, and all was good… what a relief.

So we finally made it to the Bball courts at Denny Field where the rest of the guys were waiting for us. I haven’t had that much fun playing ball in awhile. It was a great way of seeing Mel one last time before he goes back to Japan. He even sank one of his signature one handed runners (with spin) from the free throw line, which I haven’t seen him do in at least 3-4 years. That’s the way you go out… in style. 8-)

A Day of Races

What a day, what a day... this entry is going to be really random, but that's exactly how today was like for me.

To start things off I had to get up at 3am today to go into to work by 4am. My team had a launch today, so I had to go to work insanely early to test things. I was feeling pretty good for the first 2 hours, but shortly after that I felt like falling asleep. It didn't help that I had a 4 hour training session later on during the day. The nice thing about coming in at 4am is being able to leave by noon. After I got off I decided to walk over to Mel's place to see if he wanted to play tennis. Instead I ended up watching World Cup with Harold for about an hour until I fell asleep on the couch. They knew I was pretty beat and they were gonna leave, so they decided to let me sleep on the couch and leave whenever I wanted. I thought that was kind of funny. Justin even put a blanket on me, but their appartment is pretty warm and I was hot so I quickly threw it off.

So I was at home and decided to take a walk to the park nearby. I wanted to do some sprinting up some hills there. So I walked there and there was a perfect grassy hill. Once I started walking towards it I saw a boy, about 7 years old. And he told me not to go down to the forest. I said how come? He said because there was a bear in there and he heard it. I told him maybe it was just a dog, and he said no it would have to be a dog the size of a building if it was a dog. So I reassured him that I wouldn't go into the forest. Then I asked him if he wanted to race me up the hill, and he gladly said okay. I asked him if he wanted a head start, but he confidently declined. So I told him to run up the hill, touch the tree, and then run back down the hill. We started and I beat him up the hill easily, but on the way down I stepped on something that hurt my foot so I slowed down and he beat me. Then this man walked by and the kid told him that he beat me at a race... I laughed. Then the man said "Hi, how's it going?" and left. Then the boy left and I decided to go against his warning and enter the forest where the man went. I ended up not seeing or even hearing a bear. I did see a couple goth people and some japanese people though, but that's about it.

Fastforward 1 hr... >>

I went to this park near Seattle U with Nelson, Jon, and Shari after eating at Ha Na. It was a pretty nice park. I really like what they did to fix it up since the last time I saw it up close. So it was cold out by this time and I thought maybe if I run I can warm myself up. So I challenged Jon to a couple races. I think we pretty much tied both times. After that we did pull ups on the monkey bars. Nelson was inspired by our workout and managed to pull off a few pull ups himself.

Fastforward 1 hr to present time... >>

Yep, so that's about it in a nutshell.

KC Masterpiece BBQ Sauce!

For awhile I've had trouble coming up with good ways to cook chicken breasts. They always seem to turn out dry, bland, and boring. But today I tried something different and it was delicious! First I cooked the chicken breast on my George Foreman grill. After it was done I cut the chicken up into slices. Finally I used some KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce I found in the fridge to give it some flavoring. I wasn't expecting much before I took a bite, but once I did I was surprised at how good it tasted. The sauce really did the trick! It was so good that after I finished eating I cooked another one right afterwards.

Kubota Gardens

Today the weather was so nice that I decided to take Siv Fern to Kubota Gardens after work. There's nothing like a nice romantic walk around this garden. You definitely don't feel like you're in Rainier Beach when you're surrounded by all the greenary and waterfalls that are there. It was a great time just being together and enjoying each other's company.
